Most of the posadas in Los Roques offer tourists to pick them up at the air strip at the time of arrival to Gran Roque, to accompany them to the posada and help with luggage.
There are various packages or accommodation plans offered by posadas in Los Roques to their tourists, namely: 2 days and one night (very popular among Venezuelans), full board, half board, bed & breakfast and only bed. However, at peak periods such as December, Carnival and Easter many posadas offer only full board package and also require a minimum number of days to stay.
The vast majority of posadas in Los Roques are very well maintained and care is friendly with tourists. Almost all of them offer private bathrooms in their rooms and a high proportion of the guest houses offers air conditioned rooms.
Hot water itself is scarse because most of the posadas in Los Roques used to offer it through an electrical system that is attached to the shower, but it was banned by the Authority of the park because of its high electricity consumption. However, the water in Los Roques is warm enough (due to continued strong sun that warms the pipes) to take a shower, with water at room temperature, and not die trying ;)
