Dates & Race Categories 2025
The Canaima Trail Race 2025 will take place from June 5 to 8. The main race will be held on Friday, June 6 at 6:00 a.m. There are three categories to suit different experience levels:
• 8K "Start the Adventure": great for first-timers looking for a magical, low-impact experience. Gentle trails across Canaima’s village, the Carrao riverbanks, and a magical forest. The reward: panoramic views of the lagoon and waterfalls.
• 15K "Explore Canaima": adds moriche palm groves, cassava fields, and Indigenous paths to the 8K route. Connect deeply with the land, its people, and their culture—including casabe making and Kumache hot sauce.
• 26K "Trail Warriors": designed for experienced runners seeking a true emotional and physical jungle challenge.
All trails are clearly marked and offer on-site assistance throughout the race.
Age categories & prizes
• Kusarî: ages 18–30
• Kurawaina: ages 31–40
• Aprada: ages 41–50
• Nonoy: 51+ years old
Cash prizes for overall winners (male & female):
• 26K: 1st place $500 – 2nd $350 – 3rd $200
• 15K: 1st place $350 – 2nd $240 – 3rd $140
Plus, age category winners will receive $120 (26K) or $90 (15K).

Since the main race is on Friday, June 6, Saturday the 7th is free for those who want to do the Angel Falls expedition. This experience can be added to your package (around $330 per person).
• Full-Day option: ideal if your return flight is on Sunday morning.
• Overnight option: available if your flight is on Sunday afternoon.
